About Cacus

A classic Norwegian wooden boat with a long history along the coast – and a new role on the Oslo Fjord.

History

The story of Cacus

MS Cacus was built in Mo i Rana in 1968. Until 1980 she was named Dr. Holmboe and was stationed in Havøysund in Finnmark as a hospital boat, bringing medical care to people along the coast. Since 1991 she has been a charter boat on the Oslo Fjord and has become part of the city landscape in the capital – with the same sturdy lines and an interior full of wood and character.
